Scott Roemhildt Rejoins Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever as Development Officer for the Midwest
Previously served as regional representative for southern Minnesota
February 11, 2025 – Janesville, Minn. – Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) are proud to announce Scott Roemhildt as the organization’s newest development officer who will represent multiple states in the heart of pheasant country. In his new role, Roemhildt will be responsible for working in collaboration with the organization’s employee team, donors, members, volunteers, and partners to expand private, corporate, and public funding relationships benefiting upland habitat conservation.
“Scott is a talented leader and brings years of relationship building experience to the team,” said Jake Hanson, PF & QF’s director of development. “The Dakotas and southwestern Minnesota are critical regions for our organization’s mission deliveries, and I am confident that Scott will advance relationships to inspire philanthropic support to put more habitat on the landscape and make more birds.”
Building a strong culture of philanthropy among Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever constituents is a top priority, which includes but is not limited to – leadership gifts and major gifts, charitable bequests, corporate philanthropy, gifts of real estate and conservation easements, endowments and grant funding.
Roemhildt joins the major gifts team after a fourteen-year leadership tenure with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, most recently as the department’s south region director. During this tenure, Roemhildt was instrumental in building and launching the state’s Walk-In Access program and coordinated all twelve of Minnesota’s Governor’s Pheasant Hunting Openers. This is a homecoming for Roemhildt who previously served PF in various habitat-focused roles and as a regional representative for southern Minnesota.
“I grew up with a strong family, conservation and hunting ethic that has shaped my life,” Roemhildt said. “I am excited to connect with Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever supporters who have similar passions and a love for the uplands.”
Roemhildt’s primary region will encompass both North Dakota and South Dakota, but he will also work collaboratively with other major gifts team members in Southwest Minnesota.
